Subscribe through a News Reader
RSS Feeds can be accessed through News Aggregator Software. News Aggregator software can be web-based, or desktop applications. There are several RSS readers to select from, with some of the most popular listed here. Once you have installed a news reader, select a feed of interest from the list on the right, copy the url and paste it into the application’s subscribe dialogue box.
Subscribe through a Web Browser
Along with News Readers, some web browsers (Such as Firefox, Opera, Safari-Mac Only) have a built in capability to natively read RSS feeds within them. To subscribe through a web browser, select a feed of interest from the list on the right, and click on the “subscribe Now” or “Subscribe” button that is displayed.
Subscribe through Microsoft Office Outlook
- On the Tools menu, click Account Settings.
- On the RSS Feeds tab, click New.
- In the New RSS Feed dialog box, type or press CTRL+V to paste the URL of the RSS Feed. For example, http://www.example.com/feed/main.xml.
- Click Add.
- Click OK.
