With Pocket Bid™, Accubid’s handheld estimating solution for the Pocket PC, you can perform a complete estimate, generate a bill of materials, and produce a final price, right on the job site.
Back at the office, you can synchronize Pocket Bid with your Accubid desktop estimating software solution—Accubid Pro, BidWinner Plus, BidWinner, or PowerBid.
Pocket Bid will run on any device with an ARM or XScale-based processor that uses Microsoft’s Pocket PC 2002 operating system or the Windows Mobile 2003 operating system. Since the Pocket PC and Windows Mobile operating systems are based on the Windows OS, existing Windows users will find the Pocket PC interface familiar and easy to use.
For complete results, Accubid's Pocket Bid™ must be used in conjunction with either Accubid Pro, BidWinner Plus, BidWinner, or PowerBid version 6 or later.
Screen Clips
The Schedule screen lists all of the available estimating jobs. Once you’ve opened a job, the following screens are available:
• Notes • Takeoff • Audit Trail • Extension • Direct Labor • Indirect Labor • Expenses • Subcontracts • Unit Prices • Quotes • Final Price
From the Takeoff screen, you can takeoff items and assemblies from the same material database that you use with your desktop estimating solution.
The Audit Trail displays all the takeoffs within the currently selected system.
From the Extension screen, you can sort the bill of materials by system, area, drawing, phase, location, labor factor, sort codes, unit price, and/or item in any order to perform reasonable checks. You can make last minute changes to quantity, material, and labor.
The Final Price screen is used to finalize the bid and arrive at your selling price. From the Final Price screen, you can enter markup or overhead for either material or labor.
